Ever Dwindling...

Sci-fi Expo 2007 was even smaller than last year. It was held in a much smaller building, but was still packed. My taste in memorabilia is maturing (meaning, it's getting more expensive.) This year, I purchased a few Gentle Giant statues and the first two Hasbro Jedi Starfighters to complete the series.

The finest of my purchases was the General Grievous Mini Bust. Don't let the name fool you, this is a waist up sculpture of Grievous that stands nearly a foot tall.

I also got my hands on a set of Mos Eisley Bookends that I've wanted for ages.

Sci-fi Expo 2007

It's time again for the Sci-Fi Expo. I'm looking forward to this one. It's the 30th Anniversary of Star Wars, so I expect to see LOTS of goodies. http://www.scifiexpo.com/dcc/Next-Convention/Next-Convention.html

Sci-fi Expo

The Sci-fi Expo I wrote about previously was this past weekend. While it wasn't the extravaganza of last year (being a movie year,) it was still fun and packed with hot deals. I limited myself more than I should this year, mainly because of cost overruns on the deck we're building, but I got some cool stuff.

Apart from a few clone pilots for $8 a pop, I got some 25th Anniversary Deluxe figures for $5 a piece: Obi-Wan Kenobi & Darth Vader Final Duel, Han Solo & Chewbacca Death Star Escape, Luke Skywalker & Princess Leia Organa Swing To Freedom. Hasbro has said on a number of occassions that the Deluxe figures don't appeal to thier primary audience (kiddies,) so figures like these are a rareity. I appreciate the scupts for their display quality, but I really look forward to them realizing what they can do with these types of scuplts in the 7" Unleashed line.

Sci-fi Expo

Sci-fi Expo is coming to DFW. Wall to wall Star Wars toys and freaks like me! What could be better?

It's being held at the Plano Center at 2000 E Spring Creek Parkway, Plano, TX on July 8th from 11am to 6pm and July 9th from 12noon to 4:30pm. I went last year and had a lot of fun blowing cash on plastic toys and giggling at how many women think they look attractive as Princess Leia. Just between me and you, they less like Leia and more like Sy Snootles.

Tattoos and Toys

Tattoos and Toys is a website dedicated to just that: Childhood Toys and Toy Themed Tattoos. While I'm an avid Star Wars fan, I'm not so much into covering my body with Tattoos of Star Wars. However, more power to those who are.
